Private Jet Charter at Miami-Opa Locka Executive Airport

Miami-Opa Locka Executive Airport (OPF / KOPF) is a Miami-Dade County general aviation airport about 13 miles north of downtown Miami. It is one of South Florida's main private jet airports. Its longest runway is about 8,000 feet, and it has an on-airport U.S. Customs facility. That makes it a practical arrival point for flights from the Bahamas, the Caribbean and Latin America.

Why travelers choose Miami-Opa Locka

OPF is closer to the northern part of Miami-Dade, Aventura, Bal Harbour and Sunny Isles than Miami International. You also avoid the airline traffic at MIA.[4]

Its customs facility makes it a natural first U.S. stop for private flights returning from Nassau, the Caribbean and South America.[1]

Private aviation operations

CBP at OPF works from 09:00 to midnight Eastern. Arrivals must land within 30 minutes either side of the time CBP approved, so a delayed departure abroad can mean re-requesting permission.[1]

International arrivals first park at the CBP ramp. Passengers are processed in the federal inspection building, which is separate from the FBOs, before going on to their FBO.[1]

The 8,000-foot main runway takes most large-cabin jets. Range and weight on a given day still depend on the aircraft and the weather.[2]

Final arrangements depend on the aircraft, the operator, any permissions or slots required, and conditions at the airport on the day. RIVIERA JET is a charter broker. Flights are operated by independent, properly certificated operators.
